New C-S test device for Kuhn Special Steel

The new C-S device, supplied by the company LECO Instrumente GmbH and acquired in March 2016, will further optimise our capacity to carry out materials analysis. This new piece of equipment will complement our existing optical spectral analysis capabilities, and allow us to carry out simultaneously the high-precision detection of carbon and sulphur content based on combustion analysis.
We have opted for LECO’s latest CS744 series of devices, which convinced us thanks – along with other factors – to its innovative design, state-of-the-art technology and minimal space requirements; all combined with outstanding ease of use. This positive first impression has already been confirmed by the first three months of operation. Short analysis times, the latest IR technology and a wide range of functions, along with the system’s easy-to-use Cornerstone software, simplify day-to-day operations in our foundry. The improved reliability of results, in comparison to those delivered by spectral analysis, allows us to respond even better to customer requirements.
