Help for children in need
This year sees us continue with our support of the “donations instead of gifts” initiative, for the benefit of local children and young people. Continue reading
Instead of giving gifts, we are asking our suppliers to make a donation, which we will then double, as a contribution to local charitable organisations.
Given the current situation, this year’s initiative is particularly focused on children and other young refugees in and around Radevormwald. We share the opinion that it is precisely these young people who, after suffering so much in their countries of origin, now require targeted assistance. We have met with a great response in this respect, as evidenced by the fact that incoming donations are significantly above those received as of the same date last year. Our local energy utility Stadtwerke Radevormwald GmbH deserves special mention in this regard, given that it has this year increased its already-generous individual contribution by a further €1,500 to €3,000.
We have in this way provided various means of support for over a decade to the needy children and young people of our region. Thanks to the participation of more than 70 of our associates, we were able last year to collect the impressive sum of €20,350.
The special feature of this initiative is that Kuhn Special Steel undertakes to double, from its own founds, all the donations made, and to supply corresponding tax-deductible receipts to the donors concerned.
We would like to express our thanks for the highly positive response already received this year. In fact, we might even be able to break our previous record. So be part of the success!
